Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers is partnering with Boscobel Family Dental to provide dental services at the Boscobel Family Dental clinic. The dental clinic, which is located at 105 E Bluff Street, will be known as a branch of Scenic Bluffs as of January 1, 2021. The staff, as well as the dental services provided at the former Boscobel Family Dental location will not change. Additionally, the dental clinic will continue to welcome patients with or without insurance, as well as Wisconsin Medicaid.
“Boscobel Family Dental has been serving the Boscobel community for four and a half years and looks forward to continuing care through our partnership with Scenic Bluffs,” says Dr. Terrence K. Moen, owner of Boscobel Family Dental. “As a long supporter of serving Medicaid patients for their oral care needs, we began conversations with Scenic Bluffs to see if we could work together to further meet the needs of those in our area. This partnership will do just that, and we look forward to providing expanded care options for the patients in need.”
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Scenic Bluffs is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) corporation that delivers primary healthcare services in underserved areas, with a focus on reducing barriers to healthcare.
“Scenic Bluffs is passionate about our work, grounded in prevention of disease and staying well. Our team works together, creatively bringing services that attend to the needs of each person as they come to us, reducing barriers and focusing on healthcare access, regardless of circumstances,” says Mari Freiberg, CEO, Scenic Bluffs. “This partnership allows for the great providers of Boscobel Family Dental to continue to care for the community, while adding additional support and resources for those in the community who may need it. This is also a benefit for Scenic Bluffs patients in the area who have had to previously travel far for dental care.”
In addition to primary care services, Scenic Bluffs offers social support through patient access coordinators that make up their Help Team. The Help Team can work with individuals on getting enrolled in health insurance plans (BadgerCare, Marketplace), as well as connecting individuals with local resources they may need (FoodShare, housing assistance, transportation needs to appointment, etc.). These services are free and available to everyone, regardless if they are a patient of Scenic Bluffs.
Scenic Bluffs accepts most private insurance, Wisconsin Medicaid and cares for those without insurance. Additionally, Scenic Bluffs offers a sliding-fee scale program, available to those with or without insurance, which may reduce the cost of care to those who qualify. Qualifications are based-on the individual’s household size and income.
Scenic Bluffs’ Boscobel Family Dental Clinic is available for appointments 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. every other Friday. To schedule an appointment, call 608-375-4549.
